ABSTRACT

Maintenance system of a jute mill has been observed closely and the functions of the authorities related to the maintenance system were understood. All the data and information about the maintenance procedures used in this paper were collected from the authorities of the jute mill. The drawbacks of the jute mill maintenance system were found out by analyzing various processes and data for cost. Depending on these processes and data, schedules have been provided by assuming some modification in the process of maintenance and suggestions have been made which will cost less money than the previous procedures and increase the production in a given period.
